Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Comf Travel (the "app", together with the comftravel.com website, the "service") collects, uses and protects your information. Comf Travel is operated by Milvello LLC (in formation) ("we", "us"). By using the service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information. You can use the app as a guest, or sign in with an email and password, with Google or with Apple.
- As a guest: an anonymous account identifier is created so the app can save your trips. We don't ask for your name or email.
- When you sign in: we receive your email address and, from Google or Apple, the name and profile photo linked to that account, if they share them. If you use "Hide my email" with Apple, we receive Apple's relay address instead.
Trip information you enter. This includes:
- trip name, dates or flexible dates, start city, home and arrival airport, pace, and day start and end times;
- the sites, stops and overnight towns you choose;
- flight details you add to a trip: from and to, flight number, date, times and, if you enter it, your booking reference;
- the passport country you choose, used to show entry requirements;
- your Kohen setting, if you turn it on, used to adjust routes and site warnings.
Boarding passes and travel documents you upload. You can choose to upload boarding passes and other flight documents, as a photo or a file, to keep them with your trip.
- Storage: they are stored privately in our cloud storage (Google Firebase) and can only be opened from your account.
- Sharing: they are never included in a shared trip.
- Deletion: they are deleted when you delete them or delete your account.
- Camera and photos: the app asks for access to your camera or photos only when you choose to upload, and only uses it for that upload.
Shared trips. When you share a trip, we create a read-only copy of the plan: title, dates, days, stops and towns. Anyone who has the link can view it. Shared copies never include your flights, uploaded documents, bookings, email or other account details.
Reports of wrong information. When you use "Report wrong info" (or suggest a correction), we store:
- the site and the information you report;
- your comment;
- your account identifier, so we can review it and follow up.
Trip reminders. If you turn on reminders, for example before an upcoming trip, the reminders are scheduled on your device itself. We store only your reminder on/off settings with your account; no notification token or device identifier is collected for reminders. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
Crash reports. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) sends us a crash report so we can fix the problem. It contains:
- the technical details of the crash;
- the device model, operating system and app version;
- the time of the crash;
- an identifier for the app installation.
Crash reports don't include your trips, documents or messages, and we don't use them for advertising.
Messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and message.
Technical information. Our service providers automatically receive basic technical information when the service connects to them, such as IP address, device type, operating system and app version.
Information stored on your device. Your settings (for example appearance, Kohen setting and day times) and any trips you "Save offline" are stored on your phone. Deleting the app removes them from the phone.
What we do not collect. The app does not access your device's location or contacts. We do not use advertising identifiers or advertising analytics.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, including guest accounts.
- To save and sync your trips and documents across your devices.
- To plan routes, estimate drive times, show Hebrew dates, Shabbos and yahrtzeit timing, and show entry requirements for your passport country.
- To show flight prices and lodging options.
- To send the trip reminders you turn on.
- To share a trip, when you ask us to.
- To review and act on reports of wrong information.
- To find and fix crashes and keep the service secure and working.
- To track affiliate links, so we can earn commissions that support the service.
- To answer your questions.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Service providers and third parties
We use the following providers. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Crashlytics): sign-in, storage of your account, trips, uploaded documents and reminder settings, our server functions, and crash reports. Firebase privacy information
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple: only if you choose them to sign in.
- Google Maps Platform: shows maps. When you ask for drive times, the coordinates of your trip's start and stops are sent to Google's Routes service to calculate them; we do not store the results. Google Privacy Policy
- Travelpayouts: an affiliate network.
- Flight prices: to show them, the departure and arrival airports and the travel dates of your trip are sent to Travelpayouts through our server. No account details are sent. We keep the prices returned for a short time, by route and date only, without any link to you.
- Affiliate tracking: on our website, and where shown in the app, Travelpayouts tracks affiliate links. Travelpayouts and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages and links you visit or click.
- If you book through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Travelpayouts
- Stay22: shows hotel and lodging maps with affiliate links. Stay22 and the booking sites it links to may collect information when you use them. Stay22 Privacy Policy
- Waze and Google Maps navigation: when you choose to open a location in Waze or Google Maps, that app receives the destination and handles it under its own policy.
- Wikimedia Commons: site photos come from Wikimedia Commons. Tapping a photo's ⓘ and opening its source page takes you to Wikimedia's website.
4. Data retention
- Account, trips and uploaded documents: kept for as long as your account exists, or until you delete them.
- Shared trip copies: kept until you delete your account, or ask us to remove them.
- Reports of wrong information: kept while they are reviewed and as a record of changes. When you delete your account, they are no longer linked to you.
- Crash reports: kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
- After deletion: when your account is deleted, we delete your account, profile, trips, uploaded documents, shared copies and reminder settings from our systems within 30 days, except information we must keep by law.
5. Deleting your account and data
- In the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your account and all its data, including uploaded documents, as described in section 4.
- By email: write to contact@comftravel.com from the email linked to your account (or include your account details), with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm when your account and data have been deleted.
- Guest accounts: use "Delete account" in the app before you remove it. Deleting the app only removes the data stored on your phone.
- You can also delete single uploaded documents, or ask us to remove a shared trip copy, at any time.
6. Security
- Private to your account: your trips, profile, uploaded documents and reports can only be read by your own account.
- Shared trip copies: these are the exception, because anyone with their link can view them.
- Encryption: data is sent over encrypted connections.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's privacy
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
- You can use the app as a guest without giving an email address.
- You can turn trip reminders on or off at any time.
- You can choose whether to upload documents, and delete them at any time.
- You can access and correct most of your data in the app, and ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data by contacting us.
- Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, the UK or California, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. We will honour these rights as the law requires.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. When they do, they use the safeguards their own policies describe.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
